Gates Open ~ 11am
Set 1 ~ 12noon - 1.30pm ~ Steve Black & Alan West
Alan West’s deep passion for country music has been with him from the age of six and, over the last three decades, he has gone on to establish himself as one of UK’s finest country singer/songwriters and performers.
Devon-based Blackie delivers a collection of songs in the tradition of the great Texas singer-songwriters. If Steve Black was to put ‘Austin-born’ on his CV, then he’d be hailed up there amongst the best of those legendary Texas singer-songwriters. But Blackie was born in South London and for many years has called Devon home.
Set 2 ~ 2pm - 3:30pm ~
Steve WatersSteve grew up inthe 60's listening to the Rolling Stones and The Beatles, then heard Simon and Garfunkel and Cat Stevens in the 70's and that got him hooked on acoustic music and that sound.
Set 3 ~ 3:30pm - 5:00pm ~ The Fureys and Davey Arthur
The Fureys & Davey Arthur are responsible for some of the most stirring music ever to capture the public imagination. Their folk based music has received standing ovations in some of the biggest concert halls of the world and they credit their musical ability to their parents, Ted and Nora, who were well known musicians themselves. They encouraged their sons to play music from a very early age and there was live traditional music in their house almost nightly.
Set 4 ~ 5:30 - 6:00 ~ Jess Upton
Jess Upton is Dorset’s best keep musical secret. Since fronting her first band, the stunning “Jess Upton Soul Band”, at the age of 17 she has captivated audiences and received great plaudits from those lucky enough to hear her sing. Her voice is as versatile as it is beautiful, having worked with big bands, an acapella trio and a Pink Floyd tribute band (featuring her extraordinary performance of Great Gig in the Sky! http://www.youtube.com/watchv=KBFCrx4FiNc) She is currently working with Steve Wilson on her first solo album.
Set 5 ~ 7:00pm - 8:30 ~ Wet Playtime
Wet Playtime in its present form began life in the Drama Studio of Holyrood Community School during the Summer of 2007.
The band add twists and reinvent songs from both the past and the present.
